With an ageing population and some 10% of the population registered as having a disability, we have recognised the importance of factoring independent living considerations into our product development process. We offer a range of taps and showers with features such as lever handles or sensor operation to optimise ease of use and enable daily tasks to be undertaken as easily and safely as possible. In addition to ease of use, safety in the home is absolutely paramount. Hot water can cause a serious scald injury within a matter of seconds, and certain age groups are more at risk than others. Hot water from taps is the second most common cause of scald injuries and children under the age of 5, the physically impaired, and adults over the age of 65 are amongst those at highest risk.
We have introduced a number of products to our range, aimed at minimising the risk of scalding within the home. The thermostatic control facility incorporated into these products ensures that water temperature does not exceed the pre-set maximum.
Our latest introductions include a wide range of thermostatic showers, thermostatic mono basin mixer, and new thermostatic blending valves.
