SOCIAL HOUSING - Sheffield Homes
Deva are proud to be chosen to supply brassware for Sheffield Homes. By the end of 2012, 13000 properties will be renovated. Around £669 million has been invested and over 200 jobs have already been created and over 500 apprentices will be recruited. Deva has undertook extensive product training with the contractors involved.

Deva will supply the Lever Action Range. All products are lever handled with ¼ turn ceramic disc valves for rapid on/off flow. The SHTLV106 TMV2 bath shower mixer has been a great success with the tenants, they are delighted with the performance, and this product features thermostatic control so the tenants can enjoy a great shower or bath without the risk of being scalded. Also the product incorporates a water saving feature.
Sheffield Homes is an organisation set up and owned by Sheffield City Council to manage council housing in Sheffield. They provide housing management services and manage repairs and improvements to tenants' homes. This means more involvement for tenants and for the first time they are on the body that makes key decisions about housing services in the city.

Sheffield Homes' mission is to work together to provide excellent homes and services, in order to create clean, attractive neighbourhoods for communities in Sheffield. More than ever they are scrutinising their spending and looking at ways of providing services that are value for money. For example they constantly review the type of materials they use on the Decent Homes programme. Following consultation with tenants, they changed the type of tap used to the one that the customers preferred. This resulted in a saving of £532000.
They received the news on January 2006 that the Audit Commission had assessed Sheffield Homes as providing 'an excellent three star service with promising prospects for further improvement'. They are the largest Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) in the country and the first one in the north to achieve 3 stars, two years in a row.
